The Hunger Games Ost Rar Average ratng: 6,6/10 221 reviews

Labview vi password crack. You only have to look at Zane Lowe's re-scoring of Drive to see how impassioned fans get about film soundtracks. In fairness, that was a brave undertaking, and swapping College & Electric Youth's sublime 'A Real Hero' for The 1975 in that aqueduct scene aside, it wasn't a total disaster. But the DJ's reimagining of the ineffably stylish thriller was still met with widespread scorn.

Admittedly, it was a strange choice of project (why mess with perfection?), although it's perhaps stranger still that altering the soundtrack from a film just three years old could be branded an act of sacrilege and defacement. But it's proof if proof were needed that scores worth their salt can quickly wedge themselves into the Zeitgeist and become as revered as the films themselves.

So will the same be said of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 in a few years' time? Lorde only knows… The 'Royals' starlet has been enlisted to curate the score for the latest instalment of Jennifer Lawrence's ubiquitous sci-fi series. Backed by superstar producer Paul Epworth and armed with a squad of willing artists, she's assembled a film score that, although pulsating in parts, dithers and ultimately falls flat.

First up is Stromae's 'Meltdown' featuring Lorde, Pusha T, Q-Tip and Haim. The good news here is that they've nailed the saga's sense of fun, which is key to its appeal (where would The Hunger Games be without its arrow-pinging, platform-hopping, giant killer monkey-slaying zaniness?). Ultimately, The Hunger Games is Total Wipeout with all the dystopian stuff added for a bit of colour, isn't it? A cross between 1984 and the kind of great, wacky after-school TV presented by Dave Benson Phillips. That madcap nature is mirrored here in 'Meltdown', with a Foster the People-like disco flutter and Hacienda piano: a vibrant start.

A club-mix feel persists pretty much throughout, but there is the odd moment of quiet introspection in amongst it all. Bat for Lashes' inclusion sees Natasha Khan's unmistakable spectral delivery percolate through the otherworldly 'Plan the Escape', but Charli XCX's ballad 'Kingdom' shows she is certainly better at feisty bubblegum-pop than sensitive singer-songwriter stuff.

The score's at its best when in party mode: the eccentric club banger 'All My Love' from Major Lazer and Ariana Grande proves an early highlight, while the neat juxtaposition of tribal drums and '80s synths on Grace Jones's 'Original Beast' is very effective.

The soundtrack's low points, however, come in the form of XOV's slightly insipid 'Animal' and indeed its centerpiece moment 'Yellow Flicker Beat'. Lorde goes it alone on the track which features over the film's credits. It's a brooding, if slightly bland departure point for the blockbuster and distorts the vivacious nature of the rest of the score. The same can be said for the Kanye West remix, 'Flicker': This is where you might hope for a little spark of madness, or just a fraction of the kind of oddball pseudo-genius that made Yeezus one of the best albums of last year. But it falls even flatter than the original track, slowed down to three quarters of the speed with all urgency sucked from it.

Curating this soundtrack was a glorious chance to stamp an indelible mark on one of the biggest series in Hollywood, but unfortunately Lorde hasn't quite grasped it. Her solo additions 'Yellow Flicker Beat' and 'Ladder Song' sound like tracks not quite good enough to make it onto Pure Heroine and provide the weakest moments here. There's a spark or two elsewhere, but the failings of the soundtrack ultimately fall at Lorde's feet.
